(Spoiler free!)

As indicated by the index, WCP-2981 is a relatively recent document, dating approximately two centuries ago. It is likely much older than that, possibly millennial in age. Despite the possibly malicious intent of its creation, it garners no higher than a class three threat level: it amplifies negative energies already present in its wearer, but offers no compulsion to wear or use, and the wearer may still be neutralized by ‘conventional’ means.

Because of this, its security relative to other artifacts was minimal, until its theft from the archives 150 years ago. Since then, it was documented but untracked, its thief and subsequent owners lost to the mists of time and obscurity, until now.

So that’s where the apple of chaos I threw into that time portal went… or maybe is from an apple Discord lost, parallel universes makes my head ache!

Let’s see… typical evil magic anplifier artifact done using at least a vestigial form of dark magic, combined with some chaos to amplify magic (After all chaos is magic! )   failed atempt. It does not raise magic to alicorn levels, just greatly boost a unicorn magic.  Continued effect won’t not only make the wearer evil and insane, but will drain the user magic to the point where it’s body would weaken and… uh…  let’s just say there is a reason that thing ended in a magic shop okay?

My kind is very fond of artifacts like this, it takes a long time to reach the power level and experience adult sage Discord has, so we just usually give creatures the means to make magical artifacts that end creating chaos.

There are a few powerful artifacts that do work as intended, and thus become boring, like the crystal heart…
