It seems like a lot of people misunderstood what I meant, so let me rephrase it: please don’t suggest “[character] from [series]” costumes unless 1) it’s something that people who have NO IDEA who the character is will be able to understand the costume on some level (e.g., knight/princess/bandit or so forth), and 2) it actually relates to Twilight/Applejack and isn’t just your favorite character from whatever. There’s making a reference, and then there’s gratuitous pop culture jokes purely for the sake of it.
