Full disclosure: I really try to keep this blog free from serious politics, but this advert (voiceover by Neil Patrick Harris) is honestly one of the most frank and powerful arguments for registering to vote I’ve seen all year.
I’m seriously sorry if I annoy anyone with this, which isn’t normally something I’m known for, but I really believe the content is well-presented and powerful. Thanks for following.
Consider the following:
Think of Texas. It’s a “Republican state” you might say, and you’re right, but only for the past 20 years. Before that, Texas was dominated by Democrat politics for 100 years. Your state CAN change, if you voice it. I’m making a point in general - Your vote does matter. It can even turn a state into supporting someone from another party. And remember, the advice applies to everyone, including Republicans.
