Actually, I think Rarity stole the show this week.
Rarity.
I have been MASSIVELY uninspired to make any new custom ponies due to a lack of new designs to tackle OR having my custom bait being tied up in the mail (Flim and Flam are on the way). And honestly, I love spoilers because for me, it’s about actually experiencing what is happening versus rather than just hearing about it. So I decided to give the 8 minute leak a look because I was literally bored waiting for the new season to come out and such.
And so when I finally saw a full body shot of the villain and heard a bit of his backstory I was sincerely inspired to customize a pony into him. Seeing blurry mobile phone footage of him finally got me out of my rut and I was sculpting like mad studying the design and filling in the gaps. Usually I would wait and see how he measures up to an average pony, but I assumed since he was a buff unicorn, I just made him the size of a Shining Armor toy.
The base was a G3 McDonalds Pinkie Pie with the face and body cut up, extended and heavily modified with milliput. I gave him the evil grin since it’s the expression I most associate with him so far due to fan art and such.
I believe this is the first King Sombra custom, unless someone else got ahead of me.
Also, WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH GAK?
There were like literally 30 different commercials for that splooge.
And also, “HAY GAIZ, WANNA SEE MY IMPRESSION OF RAINBOW DASH?! I’M RAINBOW DASH BLLLBBLBLBLBLBLLLBBBBBBLBLLL.”
