A few months ago in art class we were allowed to paint the walls in the room. Me and my friend decided to paint MLP characters and chose a spot to do so. Since I’m not great in painting I only painted the Parasprite and the poison joke and she painted the rest. Also Discord is her favorite that’s why he’s there.
In this episode of “Goat Train fiddles with things he doesn’t know anything about”, crayon brushes and lineless art! I drew a sketch which (as always) looks better than the final product, and I started coloring all this in underneath it. I like the texture I got out of this, but some of those things don’t really need that texture. Her shoes could stand to look smoother, for one.
I kinda cheated and used multiply and screen layers for the shading, but I’m not sure if they even helped, to be honest. I can see why they’re useful for some things, but for a simple thing like this, I’d almost rather just pick my colors manually.
It was pretty hard to get that tail to look 3d without lines, haha. Still not sure if it worked.
